I LILY LOVE YOU

The OPI I Lily Love You nail polish I ordered from ebay has finally arrived!

My brother and dad tried to prank me with the whole oh-no-you-got-scammed thing and when I tore open the envelope and unwrapped the roll of newspapers, there wasn't anything inside.

Of course I immediately knew it was a prank. Still, I have to give credit to my dad and bro for quite the impressive acting.

But c'mon..

What did they even use to seal it back? Lol nice try.

So I present to you my first ever OPI polish!

*drumrolls*

I Lily Love You

I have a love for glitters on nails but all the nail polishes that are available here in Malaysia
are really really boring. Except for higher end lacquers like Orly, O.P.I etc etc - I say higher end because the prices of these polishes here in Malaysia are ridiculous - the only nail polishes available in Malaysia for someone with my kind of budget are extremely boring. It's practically just polishes of the basic range of colours

Don't even get me started on glitter polish..There's absolutely NO range of pretty glitters, but what is really common here is tiny single colour glitter dust polishes. Now there's absolutely nothing wrong with a glitter polish consisting only of tiny glitter dust of the same colour which is by the way barely visible upon application. I mean you could apply any of these single coloured glitter polishes and compare, it will look the same! but the thing is it's the only kind of glitter polish available. There are a few other kinds but they're all boring and barely noticeable. Looking at all the fun glitter indie polish in Etsy makes my heart bleed because I know I will never own them.

SOOO anyway, I was window shopping for polishes online, feeling kinda depressed because I can't have those amazing glitter polish when I came across a Malaysian selling some 'higher end' nail polishes online on ebay for a reasonable price. The colours available are limited though, so I googled for swatches of any polish from the ebay shop that I found interesting and at first, I Lily Love You failed to impress me. But then I came across a picture of I Lily Love You on black and that's when I fell in love. It's an extremely gorgeous glitter with pops of many different colours that tends to go unnoticed when layered over lighter colours or worn by itself.

See for yourself:

My cuticles looks so dry. :'(

And since I don't have any fancy camera or even a decent one, I used my phone (SG SII)
so the pictures doesn't do it justice.

I will, however, link to you an amazing blog that has glorious pictures of this combination and other wonderful polishes if you might be interested

From the said blog. So so so gorgeous!

Ps. There could be awesome nail polish available for a good price in Malaysia that I'm just unaware of. If so, please don't curse me for being ignorant and kindly tell me about it.
